Tom Kakanis is a Brisbane-based jazz guitarist and composer whose music bridges the jazz tradition with modern sensibilities. After years as an independent artist across genres like folk, rock, pop, and hip-hop, Tom found his home in jazz, bringing a fresh and personal voice to the scene.
Performing alongside longtime collaborators Casey Glennan (bass) and Katie Randall (drums), the trio blends original compositions with reimagined standards. Their music is groove-driven, exploratory, and deeply connected. This performance marks the live debut of new original works crafted especially for this trio.
