Minnie Rumble is an up-and-coming pianist on the Brisbane jazz scene, currently in her final year of JMI’s esteemed Bachelor program. Minnie has been learning under the tutelage of Brisbane jazz legends such as Paula Girvan, Nick Hunter and Graeme Norris. She has also recently had the opportunity to visit Sydney’s Jazz scene where she received a lesson off of jazz pianist Aaron Blakey.
Her playing style is strongly influenced by the jazz greats Red Garland, Erroll Garner and Dave Brubeck and she has performed in various venues, functions and festivals including Nosferatu, The Bearded Lady and Laneway Live.
This performance will feature bassist Alex Askew and drummer Evan J. Evans performing a range of classic jazz repertoire for your enjoyment.
