Joohan Lee, a current third-year student at Jazz Music Institute, is an enthusiastic drummer capable of performing in a myriad of musical genres. With over 12 years of experience, Joohan is focused on elevating a musical ensemble by adding layers of dynamics, timbre and musical expression whilst providing positive rapport with musicians of diversity and cultural/ethnic backgrounds.
Drawing from a range of jazz drummers from the bebop to the modern jazz tradition such as Max Roach, Jimmy Cobb, Philly Joe Jones and Joe Farnsworth, but focusing on his original sound, Joohan will provide a plethora of bebop and hard bop standards that will keep you enthralled for hours and leave you hanging for more!
With a variety of young musicians on stage including Alyssa Sinclair (trumpet), Tyger Cox (tenor saxophone), Zach Spiro (guitar), Richard Brider (piano) and Isaac Worland (bass), the gig will be a hoot.
